Best Japanese — NAT Institutes in Nepal (2026), Fees Compared

Comparing Japanese — NAT classes in Nepal comes down to two questions almost nobody answers publicly: what the course costs, and how far you are from an official test venue. We collect both. NAT-TEST is a widely accepted alternative to JLPT for Japanese language schools, and it runs more frequently through the year.

About these listings. Addresses and phone numbers are compiled from public sources — mostly the consultancies’ own websites, and the source is named on every card. We have not yet checked these firms against the Ministry of Education licence register, so no listing here should be read as verified or endorsed. Roughly 900 of about 5,000 consultancies in Kathmandu Valley hold a permit, so that check matters. Verify a licence yourself, or tell us if a detail is wrong.

Listings are ordered alphabetically. We do not rank them, because ranking without verified licences, fees and reviews would be a guess dressed up as a recommendation.

Where you actually sit the test

Preparation is concentrated in Kathmandu, largely around Bagbazar.

What to ask before you enrol

  1. What is the total fee, and what does it exclude? Materials and mock tests are often billed separately.
  2. Ask about whether your target school in Japan accepts NAT in place of JLPT.
  3. How many full practice tests are included? Ask for a number, not “regular practice”.
  4. Is the test fee included? It usually is not. Budget for it separately.

How we rank

We rank on facts anyone can check, which means a consultancy cannot buy a better position. Advertising buys a labelled placement and nothing else.

  1. Verified government licenceAn unlicensed consultancy is not ranked at all.
  2. Verified student reviewsWeighted so one review cannot lift a listing, and decayed as they age.
  3. Fee transparencyPublishing your service fee improves your position. Hiding it lowers it.
  4. Accreditation depthIndustry memberships, test-centre partnerships and university agreements.
  5. ResponsivenessMeasured reply time to enquiries sent through this site.
  6. Profile completenessA listing that answers a student’s questions outranks a blank one.

Disclosure. Some listings are sponsored. Sponsored listings carry a visible label, never appear above the top-ranked organic result, and sponsorship never changes a review score or an algorithmic position.

Japanese — NAT in Nepal — questions

How much does a Japanese — NAT class cost in Nepal?

Course fees vary widely between providers and are rarely published in a comparable form, which is exactly why we collect them per institute. Any institute that will not put its course fee in writing before you enrol is one you cannot compare, and we record those as “not disclosed”.

Where do I sit the NAT-TEST test?

Preparation is concentrated in Kathmandu, largely around Bagbazar. See the full test-centre finder.

How long does Japanese — NAT preparation take?

Most courses run a few weeks to a couple of months. The bigger scheduling risk is the test date rather than the course: official venues fill up and results take time to issue, so book the test before you finish the course.

Should I take IELTS or PTE?

Check what your destination institution accepts first, then weigh logistics. IELTS has official venues in seven Nepali cities; PTE has eleven Pearson centres across six cities. Compare IELTS and PTE.
